Emergency Tooth Extractions

Tooth extraction is the procedure to remove a tooth.
Reasons for procedure:
A tooth may need to be removed if it:
• Is too badly damaged or decayed to be saved by a root canal
• Has an infected nerve
• Is affecting normal tooth growth
• Is loose from advanced gum disease
• Has a loss from supporting bone, gum, or tissue

Most extractions can be completed with local anesthetic. Septocaine or Articaine is a new generation of anesthetic that is in a 4% solution compared to the older Lidociane 2% solution. This newer anesthetic is much stronger and you should have no pain. If your x-rays show an impacted tooth or other complication that we do not feel comfortable with, we will refer you to an Oral Surgeon that we have a working relationship with to service your needs. Your dental health and comfort is our main priority here at Arizona Dental Service.
